Italian Riviera Glamour
A glamorous end of summer wedding in the exclusive Italian Riviera.
A two-day wedding weekend leading up to the main wedding reception. On the Saturday morning, we organized a Italian Civil Wedding ceremony at the local Town Hall followed by a relaxed beach party. In the evening, the couple hosted a buzzing cocktail reception on a private terrace overlooking the bay of Santa Margherita Ligure.
The following day the big wedding celebrations took place. A lavish Catholic Wedding ceremony in a beautiful hilltop church overlooking the sea where the bride arrived on a classic car. After the ceremony, guests were escorted to the cocktail reception on the panoramic garden terrace of an elegant Italian Villa next to the church. Guests enjoyed local delicacies, Aperol Spritz and Prosecco while admiring the sun set over the Mediterranean Sea.
Because of the couple’s love for the sea, we introduced a subtle seaside theme. Invitations and stationary had all been printed on precious Amalfi paper and, as wedding favours, we put silver covered shells inside pretty ivory boxes. We even set up a seaside themed seating plan: custom-made vintage style bottles with scroll messages, shells and pebbles.
The elegant outdoor dinner took place under the garden marquee: bright pink, green and ivory color palette in keep with the venue, lush seasonal flowers, mirrors and tea lights. A sophisticated seafood sit down dinner followed by a delicious strawberries and cream cake decorated with beautiful fresh flowers.
After the cake cut on the panoramic terrace and the throwing of the bouquet over the ancient wishing well at the back of the villa, the dance party started in the main hall. We set up a typical Italian Confettata in one of the villa’s lavish lounges as well as an open bar and dessert table on the garden terrace, where guests could unwind while sipping a drink or savoring some yummy patisserie.
The evening dancing was to a backdrop of DJ set which had everyone let loose on the dance floor. The celebrations went on into the very early hours, with everyone happy and thoroughly enjoyed.
