Italian Elopement

A dreamy elopement wedding in the heart of Italy

When this beautiful American couple asked us to plan their elopement wedding Italy at the last minute, we were determined to make their dream come true. The couple had  planned a trip to Italy in Autumn  and wanted to tie the knot there.

We only had  two months to plan the whole thing. The very first step was, as usual, finding the perfect venue.  The couple had initially looked at some of our venues in Rome, but, when we suggested Bologna as their wedding destination, they fell in love with its amazing venues. We discovered this beautiful gem hidden in the medieval centre of Bologna. The lavish ballroom of a sumptuous Italian palace, complete with frescoed ceilings and crystal chandeliers.

We then planned every single detail. An autumn colour palette for the bridal bouquet and soft classical music in the background. An English-speaking celebrant and an amazing wedding photographer to capture it all. Champagne and delicious canapes for the toast and a personalized order of service as our special gift to the bride and groom.

When the bride made her entrance, everyone was speechless (including us!). She was just breathtaking in her wedding dress. The bride and groom exchanged their vows in a romantic Symbolic Wedding ceremony.  A celebratory toast ensued and, of course, the first dance.

As it is customary, we had organised a wedding shoot on location. The couple shoot took place in the old town centre of Bologna, while the newlyweds walked through its small roads under the warm Autumn sun.

It was a perfect day. The love, the romance, the intimacy…. as it often happens when we plan an elopement wedding Italy, there was not a dry eye in the house…. not even the wedding planner!
